Assistant/Associate Professor Applied Mathematics
Job SummaryThe Mathematics Department is seeking faculty members with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research for its New Providence and Northern Bahamas Campuses.
The successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of securing external research funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and mentoring students. Applicants who demonstrate the ability to establish a research agenda that applies statistics and other mathematical/computational methods to addressing issues in agriculture, ecology, finance, health, biology, economics and energy will be given special consideration.
The successful candidates will teach undergraduate mathematics or statistics courses to majors and non-majors as well as assist in the review and development of programmes and courses. Candidates must have a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics or a closely related field from an accredited university, and a minimum of three years of full-time teaching or research at the tertiary level
