Assistant/Associate Professor, Biology
Job SummaryThe Biology Department is seeking several faculty members with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research for both its New Providence and Northern Bahamas Campuses.
The successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of securing external research funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and mentoring students. Applicants who demonstrate the ability to establish a research agenda that addresses issues in fisheries, marine biology, environmental sustainability and health will be given special consideration.
The successful candidates will assist in the development and review of programmes and courses, advise students, teach introductory and advanced courses in at least one of the following areas: cell and molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry and plant biology. Candidates must have a terminal degree (or equivalent) degree in biology or a closely related field from an accredited university; and a minimum of three years of full-time teaching or research at the tertiary level.
