Assistant/Associate Professor Physics
Job SummaryThe Physics Department is seeking a faculty member with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research for either its New Providence or Northern Bahamas Campus.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated a record of securing external research funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and mentoring students.
Applicants who demonstrate the ability to establish a research agenda that addresses issues in clean energy, atmospheric sciences, natural resources and sustainability as relates to small island developing states will be given special consideration. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate physics courses to majors and non-majors as well as assist in the development and review of programmes and courses.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field from an accredited university; and a minimum of three years of full-time research or teaching at the tertiary level.
