The Foreign Languages Department is seeking candidates with the ability to teach beginners and intermediate levels of French and Haitian Creole language.
Candidates will be expected to engage in research and scholarly activities and participate in curriculum review and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students; evidence of excellence in teaching and in the use of creative/innovative pedagogies; knowledge of current trends in pedagogy; skills in course development and implementation; evidence of research and scholarship.
Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in Haitian Creole/French and English, (oral and written), and an earned PhD in Language/Linguistics; Haitian or Francophone Studies; Pedagogy (FLE) along with tertiary-level teaching experience.
