Assistant Professor of Spanish
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will teach a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Courses may include, but are not limited to Spanish Language, Spanish Composition and Conversation, and Literature.
The position requires curriculum development, assessment of student learning, course and program assessment, administering and advising of the minor programs. The incumbent will be instrumental in advising students, participating in service activities [including committee work within the college and university], and maintaining an active research and publication agenda.
- Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Spanish and at least five years of excellence in teaching at the college level as evidenced by student evaluations and supervisory recommendations.
- The candidate must provide evidence of the ability to work with people of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Experience in course development and distance learning is essential.
