Job SummaryThe Biology Department is seeking senior faculty members with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research.
The successful candidates will have a strong demonstrated of securing external research funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, managing laboratories/field stations and mentoring students.
Applicants who demonstrate the ability to establish a research agenda that addresses issues in crop production and farming at multiple scales relative to small island developing states will receive special consideration. Extensive experience working in a plant micropropagation lab is advantageous.
The successful candidates will assist in the development and review of programmes and courses, advise students, work with external stakeholders in industry and government as well as teach courses in agriculture or plant biology. Candidates must have a terminal degree in agriculture, plant biology, crop science, agronomy, horticulture or a closely related field from an accredited university.
