Job Description

The Pastry Chef must have the following traits and necessary experience to be considered for the position:

  • Experience in an all-inclusive 5 star rated operation
  • Caribbean working experience is a definite plus
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a pastry chef
  • Working with the executive chef in menu design and dining experiences
  • Creative and innovative in the presentation of buffets and a la carte as well as keeping in line with current trends and dietary needs.
  • Menu engineering and food costing as it relates to an all-inclusive operation
  • HACCAP certified
  • Knowledgeable in food related allergies
  • Able to design and execute a training planning which will advance the culinary capabilities of the team and develop them to the next level of the culinary refinement
  • A leader who understands the holistic dining experience and can guide the team into delivering this experience.
