Job Summary

The WASH Program Officer supports the Program Management Team, contributes to the development of a Program, which forms an integral part of the Mission's strategy, and guides its implementation.

Job Description

1. Support the Zone Coordinator for the representation of ACTED in its area of ??expertise, upon request

  • Representation with provincial authorities
  • Representation with donors
  • Representation with other international organizations

In general, make sure to support the management team and convey a positive and professional image of the association. In particular, respect for the association's mandate, ethics, values ??and discourse vis-à-vis third parties.

2. Manage the program cycle

  • Implementation of the program, under the supervision of the Zone Coordinator
  • Execution of reporting tasks

In general, inform the Country Director or the Zone Coordinator systematically about the progress of the implementation of the program and the future prospects.

3. Guarantee the technical framework of the program

  • Ensure that technical requirements are taken into account in the implementation of the program
  • Leading the quality program

4. Manage the program team

  • Management and supervision of the program team

5. Contribute to the capitalization of experience



  • Master water and sanitation engineer, infrastructures
  • At least two years of field experience in program management and coordination in the field of water and sanitation
  • Knowledge of the aid system and ability to understand the donor and government system
  • Excellent oral and written expression
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a team and projects
  • Ability to work independently and creatively on the ground and in capital
  • Teamwork and ability to create a team spirit
  • Organizational capacity
  • Strong flexibility, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to work in an intercultural context
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of a local and / or regional language is a plus
