What we offer
As a registered Nurse you are among the primary caregivers to our patients. Together with a team of healthcare professionals you provide nursing care directly in the patients home, coordinate daily care tasks, explain treatment and medicine. In order to provide optimal care you utilize the nursing process within the general guidelines and predetermined service level of the Medical Center. The contact with patients, doctors and visiting specialists make it a dynamic job.
You work full time for a minimum period of one year with the possibility of extension. Taking your experience into account, we offer a competitive benefit package. You will take part in the Collective Labour Agreement, Pension Fund (PCN), collective professional liability coverage, and receive relocation assistance if applicable.
The salary is conform the salary implementation regulation of FWG Salarisstructuur Health Care Caribisch Nederland BES and has been placed in FWG scale 40.
Monthly gross min $2047 - max $2768.
Who we are looking for
An experienced and licensed RN with a high sense of responsibility and integrity. Excellent communication skills, a strong customer service attitude, and the ability to empathize and build relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
RN diploma and Driver’s License are required, as is excellent command of written and verbal English.
Saba is part of the Dutch Caribbean and has about 2000 inhabitants. The tranquil and beautiful island known as the Unspoiled Queen, rises from the ocean with an impressive 2,877 feet and is five square miles wide.
The medical care on Saba is supplied by the Saba Health Care Foundation in the A.M. Edwards Medical Center in The Bottom, the capital of the island.
The medical care is provided via our policlinic, patient ward, 24 hour emergency service, ambulance service, radiology, ultrasound, laboratory and home health.
Next to the foundations on island Family Physicians, a group of visiting specialist holds monthly or bimonthly clinics for the population of Saba at the A.M. Edwards Medical Center.
Our patients consist of local residents, medical students (and their spouses) mainly from North America attending the Saba University School of Medicine, and tourists visiting the island for leisure or business.
