Little Cayman is a quaint place. With just a small airstrip, grocery store, liquor store, police station, church, small museum, school and medical clinic, Little Cayman truly is the peaceful, idyllic Caribbean getaway that many envision. Iguanas have the right of way on the island, and the speed limit is just 25 miles an hour! Marine parks surround the island and protect some of the best coral reefs in the world, including world-famous Bloody Bay Wall, which drops to over 6,000 feet in depth.
The local population is comprised of primarily of ex-patriates and a handful of Caymanians who work at the resorts or for local government services. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, swimming, sailing, cycling, and eating are the usual pastimes; if you are looking for nightclubs and shopping malls, Little Cayman is not for you!
Immigration is strictly controlled in the Cayman Islands and work permits are mandatory for all non-Caymanians. Work permit fees will be covered by the employer. Successful applicants will be required to provide:
