Central Bank of The Bahamas invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Enterprise Business Continuity Programme Officer.


Job Function: 
Core Functions:

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and assessment of the enterprise Business Continuity Plan (BCP), in accordance with ISO 22301, or upgrades thereof, and in accordance with industry and international best practices taking into account unique organizational needs.
  • Oversee and actively engage in all areas of the Central Bank’s BCP, through working with business units for full determination of BCP factors, including process/procedure identification and classification; key risk indicators and required BCP resources; incident management, damage assessment, recovery, and restorative strategies; and other BCP risk management activities.

Job Requirement: 
Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, from a recognized tertiary institution, in a related areas of expertise such as emergency management, business administration and planning, or risk management; plus, a minimum of three (3) years related experience in emergency management operations, crisis communications and resolution, and contingency planning; inclusive of supervisory experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Business Continuity Management, risk management, and emergency management programs, principles, and procedures.
  • Sound information gathering, assessment, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Sound knowledge of post-disruption review and restoration strategies, including the use of measuring and monitoring tools and competencies in responding to audit and compliance activities.
  • Sound knowledge of:
    1. international best practices and standards for business continuity and risks management,
    2. Sound knowledge of requirements, legislations and statutes related to emergency management/response and occupational health and safety and
    3. Sound Knowledge of risk assessment, planning, mitigation for physical, human intellectual, and information assets.
