Job Summary

The Vice President of Transformation will lead the transformation of the Bahamas Telecommunications Company into a Lean, Effective, Accountable and High Performing 21st century organization.

Job Description

This will be achieved through careful review of existing cost structures and operations to ensure that focus is on delivering an exceptional customer experience at the right cost. Role will report directly to CEO of BTC with close interaction to the BTC Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CFO.

Role Requirements
Key Accountabilities:

  • Identification, development, and execution of initiatives to transform BTC
  • Provide proactive and engaged leadership on key projects designed to increase revenue, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and improve customer experience
  • Project management: project plan creation, coordination of project deliverables, testing, and implementation; project data requests and requirements gathering, project update creation
  • Process Improvement: Current and future state mapping: creation of current/future state process mapping, including job shadowing, time studies, and data analysis
  • Status and financial reporting: implementation status, issue management, escalation, management communications, KPI tracking to stakeholders
  • Identify improvement opportunities: drive process improvement, lessons learned, program enhancements, and strategic alignment with business or other programs
  • Identify dependencies between programs and projects that will affect priority sequencing, and resource allocation decisions
  • Oversee documentation and periodic reviews of key programs and projects, monitor progress, and provide updates to Senior and Executive leadership
  • Change Management: Lead identified Change Management efforts to support new business processes across all service lines

The ideal candidate will be a Bahamian with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Engineering
  • CPA and/or MBA desirable but not required
  • 10+ years of experience in Communications, Media and Entertainment, Technology industries, management consulting, or internal audit
  • Managerial experience in medium to large size multinational organizations
  • Strong knowledge of communications markets and the dynamics in mobile, fixed and content markets
  • Background in internal audit, accounting, management consultancy, professional services or similar in-house function
  • Strategic planning and thinking preferred
  • Experience in managing program / project portfolios, and implementing project management methodologies and tools
