Koi Resort Saint Kitts, Curio Collection by Hilton is looking for an experienced Accountant to be a part of its onsite team on the island of Saint Kitts in the Caribbean.
This position will assist with financial statement preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable processing, daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects. Previous work experience at a Hilton property or a comparable hotel brand a huge plus!

 

TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Prepare all operational budgets and forecasts with General Manager, department heads, and Ownership.
  • Prepare and distribute all financial statements and month end reports to ownership, the General Manager, and department heads.
  • Daily bank reconciliation.
  • Daily review of all revenues (hotel, food and beverage, etc.) and post in the general ledger.
  • Reconcile balance sheet on a monthly basis.
  • Weekly accounts payable invoice, payment processing and review.
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and departmental results in relation to established goals.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain accounting records and compile reports.
  • General ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
  • Maintain lead schedule for all capital in progress.
  • Maintain all contracts, leases, and other legal and financial records.
  • Maintain summary of maintenance contracts and leases.
  • Distribute profit and loss statements to the appropriate personnel and answers questions pertaining to the P&L as requested.
  • Support and assist the processing of payroll with including balancing and reconciling all payroll figures.
  • Ensure compliance with Koi Resort and Brand SOPs; ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Assists other departments to make sure they are following the guidelines established by internal auditing and internal policies by visually observing work and work products daily.
  • Implement procedures that will help lessen the liabilities of the property.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience with accounting and PMS software.
  • Minimum of four years’ related experience, including at least two years of supervisory/Managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to train staff, strong communication and customer service skills, detail oriented and safety minded.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of OnQ would be an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
