Bequia Beach Hotel, a privately owned member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is seeking an experienced, hands on Assistant General Manager to support the day to day operations.

The resort features 59 rooms, suites, and villas, two restaurants & bars, a spa, a gym, a conference room, and a kids’ club.

The role focuses on ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining efficiency across both front-of-house and back-of-house functions, and fostering cohesion in the workplace. The successful applicant will report directly to the General Manager and the Owners.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and coordinating activities across all departments.
  • Oversee Front Office operations to ensure guests are well cared for from arrival to departure.
  • Supervise the Housekeeping Department and ensure daily checklists are followed to deliver excellent service while supporting revenue growth.
  • Conduct daily property inspections to ensure the hotel is properly maintained and kept clean at all times.
  • Support Food & Beverage operations to provide outstanding service and create unforgettable guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure effective and efficient operations across all business areas.
  • Contribute to developing new procedures, policies, and upgrading standards to position the hotel as a world-class 5-star Small Luxury Hotel.
  • Assist in enhancing the hotel’s public image, revenues, and overall growth.
  • Support staff performance by communicating job expectations and planning effectively.
  • Participate in recruiting, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service by assisting guests and resolving administrative or guest concerns.
  • Replace the General Manager during his / her absence>

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • Passionate about their work, people-motivated, energetic, highly organized, visible, and hard-working.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role at a 4- or 5-star luxury resort in the Caribbean.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to lead by example, showing commitment and process expertise.
  • Proficiency in computer use.
  • Able to function under pressure and meet deadlines.

 

Additional Information

  • The successful candidate must be able to live and work in the Caribbean Islands.
  • The position is available from October 1st 2026, and includes single accommodation.
  • Salary and package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
