Assistant or Associate Professor of Applied Technology
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be expected to lead the Process Technology program and take a leadership role in further program and curriculum development.
The position includes responsibility for teaching across the curriculum in support of the Process Technology program and any related programs.
The qualified candidate will have an M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field (PE certification and significant experience will be considered in lieu of Masters/PhD); experience in developing and teaching courses in process technology, mechanical design, instrumentation, programming, and controls; and a demonstrated ability to work well with diverse constituencies both internal and external to the University.
Ph.D. preferred in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field. One or more of the following are preferred for this position: experience as a mechanical, hardware, manufacturing, or process engineer, performance technologist in diverse settings, industry experience, industrial processes, experience in securing external funding and developing collaborative relationships; and project management experience.
While performing job duties, employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach, talk and hear.
Work environment: The noise level in the work environment will probably be low to moderate at times. Some travel required for participating in meetings and conferences.
