Job SummaryThe University of the Virgin Islands is seeking a Assistant or Associate Professor of Criminal Justice
The successful candidate will teach a minimum of 12 undergraduate credits in Criminal Justice, advise students, participate in service activities including committee work within the Division and University, and maintain a research agenda.
- Ability to work with the Criminal Justice organizations and agencies of the local and federal government, and to contribute to and strengthen the Criminal Justice program;
- Excellence in teaching at the college level and have the ability to work with people of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds;
- Experience in distant learning and teaching web-based courses.
Physical demands: While performing job duties, employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: The noise level in the work environment will probably be low to moderate.
