Job SummaryThe Departments of Chemistry and Physical Sciences and of Biological Sciences in the College of Science and Mathematics at UVI are seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the fall
This position supports the expansion of UVI’s biology and chemistry offerings in the College of Science and Mathematics and on the Albert A. Sheen campus on the island of St. Croix. The successful candidate will be able to lead introductory and mid-level biology courses while also teaching introductory chemistry. The successful candidate is also expected to take advantage of opportunities for development of a research program, ranging from projects with the VI-EPSCoR, to the scholarship of teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline, and will possess a record of or potential for achievement in teaching, academic scholarship and service.
