Job Summary

The Assistant Vice President, Investor Relations Officer is accountable for creating and presenting a consistently applied investment message to the investment community on behalf of the company.

Job Description

The position reports to the Group Chief Financial Officer and is accountable for creating and presenting a consistently applied investment message to the investment community on behalf of the company, and for monitoring and presenting to management the opinions of the investment community regarding the company’s performance. This is a part-time position but will require some flexibility with the work schedule. A full-time work load is expected at quarter and year-end reporting cycles.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • developing and maintaining a company investor relations plan
  • organising conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings
  • creating presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors
  • conducting research and analysis on financials, company operation data, comparable company analysis, market update, etc.
  • handling investor queries and preparing reports on feedback from analysts, fund managers, institutional investors and other stock commentators
  • identifying and working with management to establish the optimum type and mix of shareholders, through a variety of targeting initiatives
  • monitoring operational changes through ongoing contacts with management, and developing investor relations messages based on these changes 
  • providing Regulation Fair Disclosure training to all company spokespersons
  • reviewing annual reports, SEC filings, and proxy statements to ensure a presentation of a consistent message
  • managing the investor relations portion of the company web site
  • monitoring analyst reports and summarising them for senior management
  • establishing and maintaining relationships with stock exchange representatives
  • providing feedback to management regarding the investment community’s perception of how the company is being managed, and the market view of its financial results
  • developing and maintaining a company investor relations plan
  • organising conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings
  • creating presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts brokers, and investors
  • conducting research and analysis on financials, company operation data, comparable company analysis, market update, etc.


Your experience/skills may include:

  • university degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with eight plus years accounting/finance experience or five plus years’ experience in managing an investor relations department in a listed company
  • excellent written and verbal skills with proven relationship-building skills in the investment community, and ability to collaborate with the executive team.
  • strong interpersonal and presentation skills 
  • ability to work independently with self-initiative and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility
  • ability to undertake corporate travel as required
  • proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications
