Sol has an immediate vacancy for the position of Customer Service Representative at its Nassau, Bahamas offce.

Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for the customer service activities that include but are limited to the following:

  • Receives and processes orders from customers (both stock and non-stock items) by phone, fax. e-mail and internet, inclusive of the Loading Guide process
  • Handles payments for walk-in sales and generates and provides receipts, where necessary
  • Follows-up on outstanding customer payments through telephone contact and actively assists with receivables collection
  • Ensures customer accounts are maintained accurately and are up to date
  • Maintains filing system for all customer accounts in accordance with agreed standard
  • Processes payments received against outstanding invoices and issues receipts
  • Prepares daily bank deposits and coordinates banking activity
  • Ensures distribution of after sale invoices
  • Logs and manages all customer complaints by directing queries to the appropriate persons responsible and provides feedback to customers
  • Assists the marketing department in various marketing related communication
  • Summarises economic outlook each month using available reports (including Central Bank reports, newspapers and other performance related states-tics)
  • Collects and compiles data for the generation and submission of standard monthly Management Information reports
  • Manages customer credit using key metrics (DSO, percent (percentage) overdue) in a proactive manner
  • Handles customer queries and complaints and ensures issues through to resolution
  • Participates in Company Safety Programmes and meetings recording and logging Unsafe Acts/conditions and all other health and safety activities for the role
  • Assists with administrative duties on a required basis

Job Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business related discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with on the job experience working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Must be well organised and mathematically competent
  • Familiarity with and the ability to understand sales and management information reports
  • Ability to work well as part of a results driven team
  • Ability to multitask to deliver on-time results
  • Ability to interact with customers in a confident manner
