The incumbent creates and manages digital content across platforms, maintains the website, supports online campaigns, analyzes performance metrics, and collaborates with teams to advance organizational goals.

 

Position Overview

The Digital Marketing Officer will play an essential role in supporting the Marketing and Communications team by managing digital content, maintaining the organization’s online presence, and enhancing engagement across all digital platforms. This position requires a creative individual with a strong sense of visual storytelling, technical ability in digital media, and a genuine passion for conservation and environmental advocacy.

 

Key Responsibilities

Digital Media & Content Creation

  • Develop, design, and publish engaging digital content (graphics, videos, and written posts) across BNT’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Capture and edit photographs and short videos from national park events, projects, and outreach activities.
  • Ensure that all digital content aligns with the organization’s visual identity and communication standards.

Website Management

  • Assist to update and maintain website content on bnt.bs, ensuring timely posting of news articles, events, and press releases.
  • Support the integration of multimedia content such as videos, images, and downloadable materials.
  • Assist with SEO and accessibility improvements to enhance online visibility.

Digital Campaigns & Engagement

  • Support digital campaigns including corporate fundraising, membership drives, and park promotions.
  • Monitor and respond to online messages, comments, and engagement queries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Assist with the creation and scheduling of e-newsletters and digital fundraising initiatives.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on social media and website performance using tools such as Meta Insights and Google Analytics.
  • Provide monthly summaries of key metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with the Education and Development teams to support events, campaigns, and educational outreach.
  • Assist in content collection and coordination with Family Island park staff.
  • Contribute to special projects and multimedia campaigns as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital media, communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years’ of professional experience in digital communications, content creation, or marketing.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Canva, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content scheduling, and audience engagement.
  • Analytical mindset with basic knowledge of digital performance metrics.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.

 

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience with photography, videography, and content editing.
  • Understanding of Bahamian environmental issues, national parks, and cultural heritage.
  • Previous work experience in a non-profit or conservation organization.
