We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, energetic and highly motivated individual to be an integral member of the hotel’s management team and assist with leading our Golf Team.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing and providing direction on all aspects of the golf facilities management including golf operations, course maintenance, customer service, retail operations, sales and marketing, staffing, and revenue management
  • Administering the hotel’s policies and developing operating practices and procedures for all aspects of the golf department.  Implementing and monitoring the budget, the quality of the club’s products and services and ensuring maximum member and guest satisfaction
  • Developing and executing the Golf marketing and media plans in conjunction with the hotel’s Director of Sales & Marketing. 
  • Coordinating and administering the golf facility’s policies and procedures including guiding and assisting Hotel Management in the development of the facility’s long and short range objectives, goals, policies and programs
  • Preparing monthly re-forecasts, inventory, sales and other financial and administrative reports in a fiscally responsible manner whilst developing, maintaining and administering strategic long-range and annual organizational and business plans
  • Monitoring the operation of the golf program including teaching, scheduling tournaments, cart rentals and pro shop facility whilst keeping golfers adequately informed of the activities of the golf facility and encouraging their participation
  • Ensuring that sound relationships are maintained between staff and golfers, and that proper considering is given to golfer complaints and suggestions
  • Preparing monthly reports on inventory, and all revenues, subsequent analysis of P&L, and commentary on KPI’s
  • Other duties as assigned



  • 3 – 5 years experience in a related position as Director of Golf or Manager of Golf Operations
  • Successful completion of a recognized Golf Management/Operations program having achieved a professional golf accreditation
  • Thorough understanding of the Golf Retail Industry with a minimum of 3 years practical buying experience required
  • Sales and marketing knowledge with a proven track record in successful promotion of golf packages and programs
  • Excellent turf management knowledge
  • Highly organized with proven decision making skills
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated leadership skills and knowledge of accounting and financial management in relation to the operation of the golf course
  • A demonstrated passion for guest service, and exceeding expectations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A demonstrated competency for the game of golf with the ability to play golf in a public relations role with key clients and guests is a prerequisite


Visa Requirements: Non-Bermudian candidates will need to qualify for a Bermuda Department of Immigration work permit applied for by the Fairmont Southampton Hotel.
