Job SummaryWildlife Conservation and Management Commission invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Finance Officer.
The Wildlife Conservation and Management Commission was established in accordance with Section 4 of the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act. The Commission is responsible for all matters related to the protection, conservation, management, sustainable use, internal and external trade of Guyana's wildlife.
The Finance Officer will be expected to provide support to the Commission and to develop and implement systems aimed at financial management control. The incumbent is responsible for the financial management systems of the commission. In the execution of duties, the Finance Officer must oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance Unit and be responsible for managing the staff of the Unit.
The Finance Officer should possess the following:
- ACCA or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a recognized University.
- At least three years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of accounting software.
- Excellent communication, analytical and conceptional skills.
- Good supervisory skills.
