Job Summary

To improve the structure and efficiency of the various IT systems used within the organization. To ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.

Job Description

Main Activities:

  • Troubleshoot and provide support for hardware, software and network operating systems issues in a timely manner
  • Become familiar with all hardware and software used within the organization and develop a strong working knowledge of same
  • Become familiar with networks and related structure and environments and develop a strong working knowledge of same
  • Provide orientation and training to new users of existing technology
  • Install new hardware and software and software as required
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of hardware and software used throughout the organization
  • Maintain a hardware maintenance and repair log for each restaurant location
  • Ensure all software licences are kept current and active
  • Identify and manage disposal of all hardware when needed
  • Manage email hosting and individual user accounts and make recommendations for improvements as needed


Skills Required:

  • Ability to work proficiently with computer hardware and software and quickly learn any new systems and/or software not previously exposed to
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Sound Decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills



  • Tertiary education (or higher) with concentration in IT
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in IT field
  • Strong working knowledge of Peachtree, MICROS and MS Office Suite and asset
