Job SummaryApplications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Environmental/Earth Science, Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, The UWI, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.
The successful applicant should possess a postgraduate degree in Environmental/Earth Science or related discipline, along with University of other tertiary level teaching and research experience and evidence of publication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate should be able to teach Environmental/Earth Science courses including physical geography that complement the current Environmental Science minor expanding into a major. A strong background in environmental physical processes and ability to complement and collaborate with research in climatology and oceanography could be an advantage,
The appointee will be required to:
- Develop an active research programme of relevance to the region and supervise graduate students registered for M.Phil and PhD degrees.
There will also be the opportunity to develop advanced level or post graduate courses in areas of special expertise.
The successful applicant will be expected to assume duties by January 22, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
