Job Description

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate must possess a:

  • DVM or equivalent
  • Ph.D. in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging with an emphasis on Radiology and Ultrasonography


  • Considerable clinical teaching experience at University level or referral hospital
  • Demonstration of postgraduate research with an acceptable level of research and creative output
  • Experience in teaching students and supervising postgraduate students/interns

Interest in Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging will be an added advantage


Special Responsibilities

  • Teaching in related areas of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging outside of expertise and managing and coordinating a wide range of cases
  • Participating in patient rounds, clinical conferences and clinical case reviews
  • Carrying out independent and group research and facilitating interdisciplinary research among related disciplines

The Department places high priority on individuals who can work well in a team environment. Candidates should possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A good command of both oral and written English is essential. Candidates must also:

  • Have good leadership qualities
  • Be willing to relate well with colleagues and support staff and foster an attitude of teamwork
  • Have familiarity with Problem-based Learning (PBL) methodology
