Licensed Practical Nurse
Job SummaryApplications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the post of Licensed Practical Nurse.
The Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) works collaboratively as a member of the health care team in the provision of safe, effective quality nursing care to all patients under the direct supervision of the RN. Utilizes the Nursing Process in planning and administering care; assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Nursing Department.
Hazards & Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 20 lbs on an occasional basis. Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or bodily fluids.
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or obtained GED. Must have successfully completed an approved school of practical nursing and passed the PN NCLEX licensure exam. Holds a current VI LPN license.
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer BLS certification; knowledgeable of and comfortable working with computers.
