Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Manager – Applications Support.

The Manager – Applications Support is responsible for the planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the Application systems for the ACB Caribbean Group and is responsible for providing strong support to the Senior Manager – Information Systems.

 

The duties to be performed include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manages multiple Applications Analyses & Projects, Automation Design & Implementation, and Systems Developments Life Cycles, including managing External Developers.
  • Serves and participates proactively with other members of the IT Management team in developing and executing strategic plans to optimize the use of information technology in support of business objectives.
  • Participates in IT Policy and decision-making regarding resource allocation and future direction.
  • Identifies, examines, and analyzes new software solutions to clearly illustrate advantages, disadvantages, and business value, providing evidence-based suggestions to the Senior Manager – Information Systems.
  • Examines existing trends of both internal and external customers to identify targets for the Business Analyst.
  • Implements objectives, programs, work plans, and standards to implement the goals of the ACB Caribbean Group as established by the Senior Manager – Information Systems.
  • Reviews the Business Analysts' proposals from business stakeholders in their selection of new products and services that will integrate into the IT ecosystem.
  • Optimizes Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Develops frameworks for Application/Software solutions to support the business needs as indicated by the Senior Manager – Information Systems.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, to understand their needs and convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.

 

To perform the job successfully, the individual must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum first degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory.
  • A post-graduate degree in IT Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field would be beneficial.
  • A Professional Certification in any of the following: ITIL, Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or CI/CD Tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Minimum 5-7 Years of experience in IT Management.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within an IT department, managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and modern development tools and frameworks.
  • Ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives and contribute to the organization's long-term strategic goals.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation tools, and familiarity with modern software architecture (e.g., micro-services, containerization).
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to anticipate future needs and trends in IT.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of work produced.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, manage stress, and handle multiple competing priorities effectively.
