Manager – Capital Markets

The Manager – Capital Markets is responsible for managing the firm's capital markets operations, including primary issuance activity, secondary trading support, client portfolio and brokerage services, and regulatory compliance related to trading on the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE). The role requires strong technical knowledge of securities markets, sound judgment in managing client and institutional relationships, and the ability to lead a small team while working closely with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and senior management.

The duties to be performed include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage relationships with institutional and retail clients, government entities, and corporate issuers.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, including public and private securities offerings, bond issuances, and structured products.
• Prepare and present investment proposals, market research, and transaction structures to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support origination, structuring, and execution of debt and equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, bond issuances, and rights offerings.
• Coordinate due diligence, prospectus preparation, and regulatory filings with legal counsel, underwriters, and regulators.
• Manage the transaction timeline from mandate through to listing and settlement.
• Oversee day-to-day capital markets activities, including order execution, trade settlement, and reconciliation for equities, bonds, and other listed instruments on the ECSE.
• Monitor market activity, liquidity, and pricing to support informed trading and advisory decisions.
• Liaise with the ECSE, Eastern Caribbean Central Securities Registry (ECCSR), and Eastern Caribbean Central Securities Depository (ECCSD) on trade confirmations, settlements, and corporate actions.
• Prepare management reports on trading volumes, revenue, pipeline, and market developments.

To perform the job successfully, the individual must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CIMA) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital markets, sales, or investment banking, with at least 2 years as a Team Lead.
• Proven track record in sales, with strong knowledge of trading operations and market regulations, particularly in the ECSE and ECCU context.
• Should have passed the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market (ECSM) Certification Course or will be required to do so.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on client relationship management.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in trading software and financial modeling tools.
