The Manager, Onboard Marketing leads the execution of marketing strategies, manages guest communications and digital channels, oversees print operations, and represents the brand to enhance the guest experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

As the Manager, Onboard Marketing, you will be a key contributor to delivering a seamless and engaging guest experience across our fleet. In this dynamic shipboard role, you will:

  • Lead Onboard Marketing Execution: Drive the implementation of marketing and communication strategies that elevate the guest experience and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee Guest Communications: Manage all guest-facing messaging, ensuring alignment with brand standards and regulatory requirements. Partner with shoreside teams to develop and approve timely, relevant content.
  • Manage Digital & Print Channels: Oversee content across digital platforms—including onboard TV, signage, the Navigator app, and push notifications—as well as printed materials. Lead print shop operations, including team management, budgeting, and inventory control.
  • Ensure Signage & Collateral Accuracy: Maintain the quality and brand compliance of all onboard signage and printed collateral, coordinating updates and replacements as needed.
  • Support Voyage Planning: Input and validate voyage schedules and onboard events to ensure timely and accurate guest communications.
  • Train and Guide Teams: Provide training on marketing tools and ensure compliance with communication standards, including credit card program guidelines.
  • Execute Strategic Initiatives: Serve as the onboard lead for marketing, public relations, and partnership initiatives—managing asset delivery, messaging rollout, and team coordination.
  • Capture and Curate Content: Coordinate content capture for marketing and PR use, ensuring quality and legal compliance.
  • Engage with Guests: Represent the brand at select guest events and receptions as part of the hotel officer team.

 

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for a motivated marketing professional who thrives in a dynamic, guest-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creativity, operational know-how, and attention to detail to help deliver a consistent and engaging onboard experience.


Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field – A strong foundation in marketing principles is essential for developing and executing effective onboard strategies and managing guest communications.
2+ years of experience in marketing, business management, or sales – This experience supports your ability to oversee print shop operations, manage cost centers, and ensure efficient resource use.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and publishing tools such as Publisher or InDesign – These tools are key for producing daily programs, revenue inserts, and other printed materials using approved templates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – You’ll be responsible for reviewing and approving all guest-facing communications, ensuring they reflect our brand voice and meet quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Critical for maintaining the integrity of all communication materials and ensuring signage is up-to-date and compliant.


Physical Demands

While this role is primarily sedentary and involves extended periods of desk-based work, it is essential to maintain a level of physical fitness appropriate for a shipboard environment. Candidates must be able to:

  • Bend, climb, and perform repetitive motions
  • Lift heavy items on a recurring basis
  • Work varied shifts, averaging up to 12 hours per day, every day while on board

These requirements are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of both our team members and guests.
 

Travel Requirements

This is a shipboard position. Candidates must be willing and able to travel by air to and from their assigned vessels as scheduled.
