Adecco is in search of a Manufacturing Supervisor for a client in the Cidra area.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes production planning to estimate worker hours and provide feedback to production planning personnel
  • Analyzes work orders to confirm production schedule
  • Interprets specifications, policies, procedures, job orders to workers, and assigns duties
  • Coordinates daily production plans to guarantee full production schedule compliance
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to comply with daily production and packing schedule
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production and packing schedules
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Coordinates with other departments the needs of raw materials
  • Maintains and audits time and production records
  • Coordinates with The Engineering Department the equipment and machinery maintenance in order to avoid downtime
  • Ensures compliance with company values, principles, policies and procedures, applicable laws and industry standards
  • Manages the labor contract for employees under his responsibility
  • It is a requirement of this role to comply with all health, safety and environment requirements
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

 
Knowledge:

  • Fully bilingual (Spanish & English) written/verbal
  • Advanced knowledge: SAP & Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Good Manufacturing Procedures knowledge

 
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing industry
