Job Summary

The position reports to AVP, Group Market Risk Manager and is responsible for monitoring and reporting on liquidity levels Group-wide.

Job Description

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the continued refinement, development and quality assurance of all liquidity-related reporting including the delivery of accurate and timely Committee and Board-related reporting.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • producing timely quality reporting related to Group-wide liquidity on daily basis 
  • producing Committee and Board reporting related to liquidity tolerance and imperatives 
  • developing and maintaining historical data and reporting solutions to enable liquidity trend analysis Group-wide 
  • leading liquidity reporting and technology initiatives 
  • assisting with the maintenance and future development of the liquidity policy and governance framework 
  • acting as the Group expert on liquidity reporting questions 
  • assisting management with ad hoc initiatives 
  • providing departmental cover for other risk pillars on an occasional basis 


Your experience/skills may include:

  • university degree with business and finance major/ minor with a minimum of four years’ experience in in treasury, capital markets, finance/accounting or risk management roles 
  • accounting designation (CA, CPA) or CFA would be an asset 
  • strong mathematical skills and comfort with complex, large data sets and pricing models 
  • strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments 
  • knowledge of rules and regulations in each jurisdiction related to liquidity management (Basel III) 
  • database management, SQL, SSIS, VBA hands-on development experience and knowledge of QRM would be an advantage 
  • being a proactive individual with good interpersonal skills, comfortable with personal interaction at all levels of the organisation 
  • ability to work independently on multiple tasks and/or projects 
  • experience in organisational change and process design development 
  • proficient in Microsoft Office suite of application
