The Project Manager, under the operational guidance of the Area Coordinator and the technical guidance of the Technical Programme Coordinator, is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the ACTED project.

The Project Manager supervises field operations and ensures the effective and timely completion of activities; it also ensures quality restitutions and the achievement of results with maximum impact for beneficiaries. The Project Manager supervises the project staff, in the day-to-day management of all aspects of the project and liaises with the relevant internal departments, external partners and project stakeholders.

Qualifications and skills required

  • At least two years of field experience in program management and coordination
  • Knowledge of the aid system and ability to understand the donor and government system
  • Excellent oral and written expression
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a team
  • Ability to work independently and creatively in the field and in capital proceedings
  • Teamwork and ability to create a team spirit
  • Strong ability to work in an intercultural context
  • Ability to work under pressure



  • Salary defined by the ACTED salary grid according to level of education, expertise, level of security and level of experience: between 2100 and 2200 € net monthly (before income tax)
  • Monthly living expenses allowance $300
  • Accommodation in guesthouse and food supported by ACTED
  • Social security, mutual insurance (MSH) and repatriation assistance (SOS International) supported by ACTED
  • Transport to the mission and return ticket fully covered every 6 months (to the address specified on the employment contract)
  • Visa fees covered by ACTED
  • A week of preparation for departure including 3 days of immersion safety training
  • Possibility to have a 30-minute call with a tax consultant
  • Psychological support (appointment with a professional)
