Job Summary

This position reports to the Assistant Manager and is responsible for performing all related processing functions for credit and debit cardholders.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

  • opening new accounts (debit cards) and advising customers that cards are ready for collection 
  • processing fees to customer accounts for services provided per fee schedule 
  • assisting in vetting correctness of adjustments and fees charged to customers 
  • preparing and processing monthly debit card reissue batches 
  • handling all debit cards returned by mail and uncollected cards from the branches 
  • maintaining all customer static data 
  • processing pinning requests for overseas debit card customers 
  • handling cardholders’ queries efficiently, accurately, and timely 
  • setting up auto payments, applying credit limits, inputting changes and passing entries 
  • balancing all entries upon input and report zero balance items to the supervisor 
  • maintaining files on documented instructions and agreements 

Required qualifications and skills:

  • High school graduate with passes in English and Mathematics GCSE/CXC 
  • four years’ banking experience; three years’ card industry experience preferred 
  • computer literate with proficiency in MS Office software 
  • strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • competent in using Flexcube UBS; Postilion card management system, and FDR card management system, Card embossing system 
  • mature individual capable of working with minimal supervision with ability and confidence to make decisions within areas of responsibility when assisting customers 
  • accurate data entry skills
