Job SummaryApplications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill three (3) vacant positions of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Law, The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.
Successful applicants should have a good first degree in Law. Possession of a postgraduate degree, a record of academic publications, and/or wide experience in a relevant area or practice would be an advantage. The Faculty is particularly interested in those with an interest in Corporate and Commercial Law topics. However, successful candidates will also be expected to contribute to teaching in one or more of the Faculty’s core areas of teaching.
Areas of teaching include the following subjects: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Criminal Law, Family Law, Gender and Law in the Commonwealth Caribbean, International Commercial Arbitration, International Intellectual Property Law, Law and Legal Systems, Law and Technology, Legal Methods Research and Writing, Offshore Law, Public Law Remedies.
The successful applicants will be expected to assume duties by January 22, 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter.
