The incumbent ensures accurate accounting and financial integrity for World Vision Haiti by managing ledgers, transactions, reporting, compliance, and audits, while supporting policy implementation and maintaining effective financial controls.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Accounting Operations on all Sponsorship projects including PNS.
  • Ensure that the general ledger is accurate, with accounts receivable, payable, and payroll taxes and balances. Ensure the financial integrity and accounting of World Vision Haiti. Ensure that accounting transactions are imported daily. Process intercompany transactions in accordance with transfer agreements. Monitor the general ledger, investment, grant, and imprest accounts for outstanding balances. Provide assistance, as needed, to the Accounts Manager on accounting matters. Minimize financial impacts related to cash flow, deferral, and fund accounting.
  • Ensure the application of the accounting system, procedures, policies and controls in place.
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly financial reports. Ensure all departments, accounts receivable and payable are correctly reported. Provide adjustment reports, if necessary. Reconcile project portfolio bank accounts on a monthly basis.  
  • Implement World Vision Haiti's accounting systems, processes, and controls. Implement current emergency policies and procedures. Contribute to the development of World Vision Haiti's accounting policies. Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting.
  • Apply the organization's overall accounting policies. Communicate World Vision Haiti's accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Prepare month-end reconciliation statements. Prepare tax reports in accordance with local laws. Collaborate with audit staff for independent annual audits. Comply with World Vision Haiti's and donors' accounting policies and procedures, both written and unwritten, and report any instances of non-compliance.
  • Ensure that financial and accounting reports are properly prepared and submitted on time.
  • Implement mechanisms to reduce financial risks.
  • Adhere to World Vision policies and procedures and participate in devotional and Chapel services.

 

QUALIFICATIONS POUR LEE ROLE:

  • Balanced combination of minimum three years of experience in NGOs and non-profit companies
  • Experience with government grant regulations and financial reporting requirements.

BTS in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
