We are seeking an experienced Supervisor, Night Depository, to join our growing team and drive the expansion of the Bank's presence within the corporate segment.

 

Position Overview:

The Supervisor, Night Depository, is responsible for contributing to the overall productivity of the Unit by supporting Freeport Branch operations and other Departments in managing the timely and accurate execution of customer transactions in accordance with Banking standards and policies and procedures. 

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that staff adhere to the Bank's standards, guidelines, policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Additionally, the incumbent is required to assist and provide relief to other key roles in the department as needed and contribute to the overall management of the department. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that tasks are distributed among the team daily to maximize productivity.
  • Oversee the operations of the Night Depository Unit to ensure that employees have appropriate resources, cash levels are adequately managed, and customers are serviced properly.
  • Ensure that customer complaints and issues are resolved, employee concerns are handled appropriately, and unit security is upheld. 
  • Prepare all management reports in a timely manner. 
  • Work in a supervisory capacity by providing instructions to associates, demonstrating job requirements, and preparing work schedules to cover all absences. 
  • Conduct monthly and weekly audits by reviewing the work of team members against bank procedures. 
  • Ensure the balancing of periodic listings, such as ATM overages and shortages, cheque clearing accounts, etc. 
  • Perform duties of Treasury Custodian by distributing and receiving cash from Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), packaging for shipment, and ensuring reconciliation with treasury records and daily balancing to the general ledger. 
  • Ensure that monies are properly transferred from the unit to other banks or the Centralized Treasury Unit and vice versa, ensuring that proper security measures are followed.
  • Manage all offsite ATMs on Grand Bahama to ensure adequate cash levels are maintained and machines are operating properly. 

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in branch operations. 
  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to train, coach, and direct a team effectively. 
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Effectively manage and resolve conflicts within the team and with customers.
  • Possess robust accounting skills. 
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of banking systems, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work. 
  • Demonstrated ability to process transactions and handle tasks with speed and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Aptitude to understand and process information quickly and accurately. 
  • Proficient in operating a variety of office equipment, including computers with Microsoft Office applications, calculators, printers, and photocopiers.
