The incumbent coordinates property and maintenance activities, ensures a safe and clean environment, manages inventories, supports emergency efforts, and supervises internal and external maintenance services.

 

JOB PURPOSE:

The Supervisor, Property Services coordinates the execution of all property, building and maintenance activities ensuring that the company’s physical environment and facilities are clean, safe, and hazard-free. The position assists in administering disaster and emergency activities, maintains the Fixed Assets Register and all other miscellaneous inventories; supervises property maintenance and repair services being delivered by the team as well as external service providers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts daily inspections of grounds, buildings and facilities and report on any act of vandalism or other adverse findings.
  • Provides support to the procurement team in the development of Bill of Quantities.
  • Liaises with approved service contractors and manages the delivery of services for plumbing, electrical, ventilation, cooling, roofing, construction and other maintenance work; conducts periodic evaluations on the quality and efficiencies of services provided, in keeping with SLA/Contract.
  • Supervises all contractors and service providers in the execution of approved work and ensures compliance with the scope of works.
  • Manages and monitors maintenance schedule for the fleet of vehicles ensuring that the relevant licences, permits and insurance coverage are current at all times.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Associate Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management or related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years related experience in any combination of related disciplines.
  • Certificate in Supervisory Management
  • Experience with scheduling and coordination of meetings and events.

  • Good knowledge of Departmental Guidelines and Procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Office Administration Practices and Procedures.
