Job Description

We are looking for a talented Sushi Cook to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will take pride in their culinary expertise, preparing excellent food and beverage options for our guests to enjoy specific to sushi, fish, ceviche and raw bar options. In addition to this candidate must have proven ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods, with interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.

Will be  responsible for creating special meals or substitute items. Ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years’ experience in preparing sushi and be able to work  flexible schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings as required. Hotel experience preferable.

Please note that this is a temporary position from November 2017 through to the end of April 2018.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
