Team Coach Nurse
The Benevolent Foundation Saba manages the Honorable Henry Carlyle Every Home for the Aged also known as “The Home”, a care institution for elderly and disabled people on the island of Saba. The Home wants to support their clients with service-centred care and services tailored to the individual needs of the client with respect, interest, enthusiasm and expertise. Preserving autonomy, identity, self-esteem and quality of life of the individual client are core concepts.
The Home offers residence to approximately 17 clients. In addition, the Home offers the L.I.F.E (Love, Independence For Elders) Activity Center. With two locations on Saba, the center is dedicated to increasing quality of life and independence for older adults in Saba through recreation, education and socialization.
Benevolent Foundation Saba and Saba Health Care Foundation (the Medical Center of Saba) are sister organizations and share the same Board of Directors and Supervisory Board. Both organizations work close together and share resources where possible.
What the job entails
As Team coach nurses, you stimulate and develop through coaching and guidance our nursing staff to further develop a self-supporting manner of working. You respect the independence of each team member and recognize the strength of the interdependence dynamics in a team. You supervise the client care by organizing and coordinating the nursing duties and responsibilities and ensure that the work is carried out in line with the medical-/client centered care policies and processes. You advise and support the manager with implementation and improvement of policies, observing the organization key values and highlight a self-supporting work manner were possible.
You help ensure a pleasant and safe environment at the Home where the provision of high quality client care is central.
Who we are looking for
You have a HBO-level (or equivalent) education in (change) management and a Registered Nurse diploma on at least MBO level 4. You have at least 3 years of relevant management experience that showcase your coaching abilities. You are a peoples’ person and know how to motivate people. You stimulate them to reach greater heights by being critical and inspiring self-reflection. You are a connector and understand that client centered care can make the difference in giving optimum care to the clients. You are computer proficient and have a problem-solving disposition. You have an excellent command of the English language verbally and written. A good command of the Dutch language is an asset.

What we offer
The initial appointment is for a period of one year with the possibility to extend. You will work full time (40 hrs per week).

The salary is conform the salary implementation regulation of FWG Salarisstructuur Health Care Caribisch Nederland BES.
