Job Summary

This position reports to the Group Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for Group-wide interpretation, implementation, measurement, and communication of Operational Risk Management policies, processes and initiatives.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

  • align risk management policies, processes and initiatives with Group business strategy and corporate culture, and ensure that they meet legislative requirements and market norms 
  • formulate risk management policies in collaboration with senior management and ensure the Group is protected 
  • assess risk in the Bank’s new and existing products, services, processes and operations 
  • build an operation control process across the Group that will manage/mitigate operational risk 
  • manage and control operational losses through building a find-and-fix infrastructure, and ensure losses are tracked and managed 
  • study and assess new and emerging international regulations (i.e., Basel III) and their applications 
  • lead a global team covering operational risk, information security and business continuity 

Your experience/skills may include:

  • a university degree in business administration, commerce, accounting or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years’ proven, progressive banking experience of which seven must be at a senior level in Compliance, Audit or Risk Management 
  • proven experience in risk management techniques 
  • knowledge of Banking Operations and in-depth knowledge of Basel II and Basel III accords and relevant reporting requirements 
  • project and team management skills and superior communications skills
