The incumbent leads high-level security inspections and policy research across government facilities and ports, monitoring hazardous materials and assessing vulnerabilities to implement risk management plans and enhance national security standards.

The incumbent leads correctional reform by researching and implementing evidence-based security policies, facility designs, and risk-assessment models based on international best practices to modernize Jamaica’s Department of Correctional Services.
