The incumbent maintains final accounting records, prepares journals and adjustments, posts transactions to GFMS, reconciles statements, prepares reports and financial statements, and supports audits and management decisions.

The incumbent processes license and permit applications for fishers and fish farmers, maintains the Registers of Fishers and Vessels, and generates reports in accordance with the Fisheries Act, 2018.

The incumbent advises the NFA on privacy and data protection compliance, monitors internal practices, guides DPIAs, serves as liaison with regulators and data subjects, and supports implementing the Authority’s privacy programme.

The incumbent oversees legal and regulatory compliance, manages staff and operations, ensures adherence to laws, represents the Authority in proceedings, and provides legal counsel, guidance, and protection against legal actions.
