Under the supervision of the Food Services Supervisor and Food Services Manager, the Diet Technician / Cashier works toward the achievement of the department’s goals for providing high quality food services to patients, staff and the public.

The supervisor leads the food service team, manages staffing and performance, enforces safety and sanitation standards, and monitors meal production and distribution to ensure efficient, high-quality service for patients and staff.

The incumbent manages ambulance fleet readiness, oversees EMT recruitment, training, and performance, assists in budget planning, and provides direct emergency medical response while ensuring accurate patient documentation and safety.

The clinician provides patient assessments and therapeutic treatments, supervises support staff, maintains accurate clinical documentation and statistics, and collaborates with the healthcare team to optimize patient care and discharge planning.

The Community Support Worker (CSW) will be expected to provide ongoing support, daily care and assistance to persons with mental illness, to ensure that they achieve their maximum potential.

The incumbent supports patient rehabilitation and daily living by assisting with personal care, facilitating social and therapeutic activities, monitoring physical and mental health, and ensuring patient safety during transport and community outings.

The incumbent provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient needs, developing and executing treatment plans, managing medication, assisting in emergencies, and educating patients, families, and staff to support recovery and discharge.

The incumbent processes, inspects, and folds linens using institutional equipment and manual techniques, ensuring strict adherence to departmental standards, infection control protocols, and safe handling procedures.

The incumbent manages the transport of laundry, linens, and supplies across the Bermuda Hospitals Board, maintains vehicle records and safety, and ensures all deliveries are completed in compliance with traffic and health regulations.

The Ward Orderly will work under the supervision of an assigned Staff Nurse and perform related duties necessary in caring for the personal needs, comforts, and safety of the patients.
