The incumbent advises the Firearm Licensing Authority on data protection and privacy compliance, oversees regulatory obligations and impact assessments, and supports the implementation of privacy programs through expert legal and technical guidance.

To provide technical and administrative support duties to strengthen the effective and efficient functioning of the Regional Office.

Under the direction of Senior Investigator, the incumbent conducts investigation of new applicants to determine their suitability to hold a firearm. Investigating complaints regarding the breach of any term or condition of the firearm authorisation.

Conduct a programme of certification or de-certification of applicants, Firearm Instructors, Firearm Ranges and Practical Firearm Training Courses.

To provide general secretarial support services to the Investigations Department, to facilitate a smooth functioning of the department.

Conducting technical investigations with respect to complaints and breaches of any term of firearm authorisation.
