The Image Analyst is responsible to interpret and analyse radioscopic images to detect prohibited, restricted, and dutiable items by the Customs Act and Regulation while conducting agency functions empowered by the Constitution of Jamaica.

The incumbent develops and maintains systems for planning and reform, analyzes data to guide decision-making, manages information systems, supports policy formulation, and evaluates revenue trends to improve efficiency.

The incumbent supports data protection and legal compliance by conducting research, developing policies, monitoring systems, and performing audits; provides legal analysis, maintains research tools, and aids regulatory alignment.
