The incumbent develops and implements public relations and education strategies, manages media relations, produces communications materials, and maintains stakeholder relationships to support the Ministry's objectives and public image.

The incumbent provides strategic leadership for the Ministry's corporate communications, public relations, and events management; develops crisis management strategies; coordinates signature events; and serves as the focal point for protocol services

The Cartographer collects and analyzes spatial data to create maps and charts, conducts research on map specifications, and supports land use planning for agricultural stakeholders.

The incumbent assists with developing, reviewing, and analyzing agricultural and fisheries policies, legislation, standards, and guidelines, while contributing high-quality policy advice on contentious and emerging issues.
