The Senior Archivist safeguards cultural heritage by appraising, cataloging, and digitizing special collections, implementing preservation protocols, managing budgets, curating exhibitions, and training staff using modern archival techniques.

The incumbent is responsible providing custodian, ancillary/customer support services to include cleaning and maintenance of the working environment and dispatching and retrieving mails/ correspondence.

The Assistant Archivist is responsible for managing the Manuscript Collections, arranging and describing fonds, identifying materials for preservation/conservation treatment, and preparing manuscript records appropriately for access and outreach.

Under the direction of the Manager, Research & Information the Senior Library Assistant provides paraprofessional support in the organization and dissemination of library resources and services to satisfy the information needs of users.
