The incumbent carries out general electrical maintenance, repairs fixtures like bulbs and switches, responds to emergency calls, services oxygen cylinders and compressors, and maintains department generators and autoclaves under supervision.

The incumbent will be responsible for compiling, processing and maintaining the health records in a manner consistent with medical administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory requirements of the health care facility.

The incumbent provides expert guidance on biomedical equipment standards, diagnoses equipment issues, trains staff, evaluates equipment, supports certification and policy development, and advises senior management.
