We are seeking an experienced Data Processing Associate to join our growing team and drive the expansion of the Bank's presence within the corporate segment.

 

Position Overview:

The Data Processing Associate, is responsible for accurately and promptly entering card data into the system in accordance with established policies and procedures. The incumbent is also tasked with ensuring that customer inquiries and complaints are addressed efficiently and accurately, while providing support with other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input new and replacement card applications, ensuring all items are properly authorized, signed, and dated prior to posting.
  • Authorize and post card loads in Visa Interface with 100% accuracy, ensuring all entries are properly verified and documented.
  • Process limit increases, service charge fees, reversals, and correcting entries with precision and proper authorization.
  • Manage and process all requests and correspondence received through the Card Operations email box in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and account information in the system, ensuring all updates are properly signed and dated.
  • Process rejected items on the exception log by 11:00 a.m. daily and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Prepare posting sheets and corresponding general ledger entries with complete supporting documentation.
  • Handle branch and customer inquiries efficiently, providing accurate information and timely follow-up.
  • Complete Visa Interface End-of-Day processing and forward daily totals to the IT Department.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent certification from the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services (BIFS).
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and improve operational efficiency.
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient bookkeeping and typing skills, with demonstrated speed and precision.
  • Sound knowledge of the Bank’s products, services, and applicable charges.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and core banking applications.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, calculators, fax machines, and photocopiers.
