Facilities Supervisor - JCC

Overview

The incumbent has the responsibility to ensure the smooth operation and proper maintenance of all air-conditioning and associated equipment primarily at Block 11, Jamaica Conference Centre and secondarily at Seabed Arcade for which the UDC provides maintenance services. 

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

• Tertiary level qualification – Diploma in Air Conditioning /Refrigeration or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in Air conditioning/Mechanical maintenance, with three (3) years’ experience at a supervisory level in air conditioning/refrigeration maintenance in a large organization.     
• Formal knowledge of the practice and procedures in the areas of air-conditioning and refrigeration. 
• Formal knowledge of maintenance planning, implementation and co-ordination of projects.
• Formal knowledge of interpreting blueprints.
• Formal knowledge of industrial safety procedures.

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems in related areas.
• Ability to organize and supervise people to produce desired results, as well as deal effectively with tenants’ requests.
• Good customer service skills
